Community involvement/Improving your quality of life
- Annual Teacher’s Luncheon
- The AACD’s Annual Teacher’s luncheon is held each year to recognize all educators in Hamilton County. All AACD members are invited.
- Annual Awards Banquet
- The AACD Annual Awards Banquet recognizes volunteers, businesses, and organizations who set a positive example for Aurora and Hamilton County through action and growth. All AACD members are invited.
- Scare the Square
- This annual Halloween event put on by the retail and business community brings trick-or-treaters of all ages down to the square for a spooky, fun night.
- Farm Family Pancake Feed
- The AACD’s annual Farm Family Pancake Feed recognizes the important role that agriculture plays in the community, offering a free pancake feed to area farmers and their families.
- Bill Kropp Memorial Alumni Basketball Tournament
- This event held every March brings back alumni from the 1960’s to present day for a weekend full of competition.
- AACD Golf Classic
- A 4-man golf scramble on Aurora’s own 9-hole course is held in June where networking and fun are the order of the day for this tournament.

- AACD Newsletter
- The AACD publishes a bi-monthly newsletter entitled AACD Connections as well as a weekly email update featuring information on upcoming events and school updates. Check these sources as we well as our website www.auroranebraska.com for all things AACD.
- Fraud Alert System
- The AACD stays on top of important alerts and sends out announcements via email regarding email/phone scams, bad checks and other fraudulent activities.
- Town Hall Meetings
- The AACD’s Governmental Affairs committee hosts our State Senator at least once during every legislative session to give the constituents of Hamilton County the chance to ask our representative various questions and learn more about what’s happening in our state Government.
- Legislative Forums
- Each year the AACD hosts the State Chamber legislative forum which provides tools and useful information for small businesses. We also host an annual Ag Legislative Forum where we bring in 3 or 4 Senators to talk about what’s happening in our state with Agriculture.

- The Chamber Ambassadors, which every member is a part of, represent our organization at ribbon cutting and groundbreaking ceremonies, as well as in promoting and welcoming new members into the AACD community.

- Media Relations
- The AACD works to increase awareness and responsiveness or positive business and community news. The office keeps an up-to-date list of media contact information and will provide it to any member at no charge.

- Business After Hours
- Held throughout the year at different AACD member locations, these casual networking events attract AACD members who have found these get-togethers to be a wonderful resource for making and sustaining contacts with both current and prospective clients.
- New Member reception
- The AACD New Member Reception is another excellent way to network with the business community for members new and old and is a great way to meet the newest Hamilton County movers and shakers for the existing membership.
