New Community Motto Results

The City of Aurora, Aurora Development Cooperation, and Aurora Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all of the community for their feedback on a new community motto. We are happy to announce that, with your input, the new community motto will be unveiled during Family Night of A'Ror'N Days. More details will come at a later time. 

EMS Community Appreciation Cookout - May 21

The Hamilton County EMS Association Local 4956 and Hamilton County Ambulance Service will be celebrating the Volunteer First Responders in Hamilton County with a Pork BBQ meal. Free will donations and a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Nebraska Kidney Association located at the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department from 5:30 to 7 PM. Free raffle for a NOAA weather radio. Chamber office Closed for Memorial Day - May 27

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce office will be closed Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day. The weekly eblast that is sent on Mondays will be delayed to Tuesday.

Saturday 25th - Flags will be put up in the Aurora Cemetery at 7:30 AM . Please feel free to join in.

Monday May 27th - Both American Legion Post 42 and V F W Post 4993 will participate in the following ceremonies:

8:30 AM @ Mamre Cemetery

9:00 AM @ KronbergCemetery

10:30 AM @ Aurora Cemetery

11:45 AM @ Stockham Cemetery

12:15 PM @ Farmers Valley Cemetery

Flags will be retired at  5:00 PM that day. Please feel free to join in.

With Edgerton's portable planetarium, we literally bring the universe to you! Relax and enjoy as presenter Dan Glomski, longtime astronomer, shares an interactive tour of the night sky. In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing, he'll also take an extended look at the moon.

We will have eight shows; each of them will be 30-40 minutes long. Each session is limited to 20 people. All ages are welcome! Unfortunately the planetarium is not wheelchair accessible. You must register to attend! Sign up today at http://bit.ly/2VMSoG8

Kicking Off Summer in Hordville - June 1

Banana Rams will  be partnering with Gram Entertainment & Marketing and New Country KX 96.9 to bring Tucker Beathard and CJ Solar to "Kicking Off Summer" in Hordville, NE on Saturday, June 1st from 7 PM to 12 AM.

Coffee Connection with City of Aurora - June 3

The City of Aurora will be hosting a Coffee Connections on June 3rd at the Fire Station from 8 AM to 9 AM. This is an opportunity to meet with the Emergency Medical Services Staff, Mayor and Council Members as they make the transition of EMS from County to City. They will be available for a tour of the facility and answer any questions individuals may have.
